Issue No. One

WINTER IN THE CITY

WINTER IN THE CITY

Welcome to the very first issue of MY WAY NYC, a creative magazine made for kids, grown-ups, and anyone who sees New York City as more than just a place, but as a living, breathing story.

If you’re reading this, you’re here at the beginning. And beginnings in New York are always a little noisy, a little messy, and full of possibility.

This debut issue, Winter in the City, is our love letter to the season that transforms New York in quiet and unexpected ways. Winter here isn’t just cold weather, It’s the subway grates breathing out warm clouds that fog your glasses, the way buses groan down the avenue with slushy wheels, it’s putting spoons in freezers and hoping for a snow day, the way the sky turns silver before it snows, and the feeling that the whole city is wrapped in its own wool coat.

You’ll find stories, drawings, discoveries, and tiny moments from both kids and adults because everyone experiences winter differently. Together, those views create the full picture of what NYC really feels like.

MY WAY NYC exists for one reason: to give our city’s young voices a place to shine, and to pair them with the grown-ups who still pay attention to small wonders. This is a hybrid magazine: part kid energy, part adult reflection, all rooted in the spirit of New York.

Thank you for being part of Issue #1.
Thank you for sharing your stories, drawings, and ideas.
And if this is your first time here, welcome. Come help us build this.

As we head into the holidays and a brand-new year, I hope this issue reminds you of the way winter slows the city down just enough for us to notice things: the sparkle of lights on a rainy night, the warmth of a crowded subway car, the sound of boots crossing a frozen patch of sidewalk.

Winter in New York is honest, bold, and full of tiny surprises.

So is this magazine.
Enjoy.
