Who we are
MY WAY NYC exists for one reason: to give our city’s young voices a place to shine and to pair them with the grown-ups who still pay attention to small wonders. This is a hybrid magazine, part kid energy and part adult reflection, all rooted in the creative heartbeat of New York.
Each issue centers on a theme, beginning with Winter in the City, and invites contributors of all ages to share how they see, hear, and feel life here. From subway stories to neighborhood discoveries, from illustrated memories to tiny observations of daily magic, we believe everyone has a piece of New York worth sharing.
We welcome kid writing, art, comics, and photos, along with adult essays, reflections, neighborhood snapshots, and seasonal responses to our creative prompts. Anything that explores NYC with curiosity or wonder has a home here.
MY WAY NYC was founded by Shamie Cuthbert, a writer and educator who believes New York is at its best when we listen to the full chorus of voices that make it what it is, especially the smallest ones.
If you have something to say or something to show, we’d love to see it.
